for Congressional District 2 Race


Saint Paul – The Independence Party of Minnesota has endorsed small businessman Bradley Svenson ( in his race for the Congressional District 2 race against Jason Lewis.

Svenson, of Apple Valley, has been self-employed for most of his adult life.  He has worked as a cabinet shop owner, licensed home builder and minor league football team owner.  He has been married since 2000 and has three children and a golden retriever.

“I am deeply honored to be endorsed by the Independence Party of Minnesota,” said Svenson.  “I look forward to using my abilities to bring their great ideas to the people of CD2,” he added.

“We are very pleased to have Brad Svenson as our standard bearer in CD2,” said State Chair Phil Fuehrer.  “Brad will not just incrementally improve upon the 8% our candidate received in the district in 2016,” he continued, “but, will be a highly competitive and legitimate third option for voters. One that they will want to take a look at and cast their vote for.”

Believing that partisanship and extremism are part and parcel of the reason for our current political climate, Svenson touts “a new way, a new style” to help break the stranglehold that the two major parties have on our political consciousness.
