The IP has many opportunities for you to become involved. Please sign up to help us reach our goals!

Candidate & Campaign Support
Our Candidate & Campaign Support Committee is looking for people interested in researching, discussing, debating, and coming to consensus and resolution on the topics and issues that are critically important to achieving our common goal of supporting campaigns in every way possible in a concentrated effort to elect candidates in 2006 and beyond.

Please contact State Party Chair Craig Swaggert at 612-928-9182 or chair-A@mnip.org.

State Party Office
Located at 2486 University Ave W, where I-94 crosses University Ave in Saint Paul, our state party office is looking for volunteers!  Here are several different ways you can help out:

  1. Take care of business in the office a few hours at a time when it fits your schedule. Answer the phone, deal with visitors, make some outgoing phone calls to advance a current project, do mailing, copying, etc.
  2. Be in charge of the office for a few hours, scheduled a few days in advance. This can help a lot, even if you mostly work on your own personal projects during your time in the office. You may only deal with a few phone calls or visitors, but your presence frees someone else to run errands outside the office.
  3. Work on a specific project, and come in to the office only as needed to coordinate your work. Do the actual work at times and places of your choice. If visiting the office is inconvenient, perhaps all the work can be done by email & phone.

Call the IP office, (651)487-9700, to talk about finding something you will enjoy doing. Your help would be most appreciated!

Fundraising
The most important task for the IP in the next year is to raise funds. Be an integral part of the future of our party by helping in this effort. Currently, we are looking for people to make calls to our database list from our office. Experienced fundraisers and first-timers alike are very welcome.

Please contact the IP office at (651)487-9700 to volunteer.

Public Relations
Our Public Relations committee is looking for people with writing and/or computer skills to participate in the many communication efforts of the IP.  If you would be interested, please contact Laura Holzschuh at 651-283-1166 or holeshoe@earthlink.net

Campaign Management
Our candidates often seek intelligent individuals to help them manage their campaigns.  Being a campaign manager requires a solid time commitment through election day, great dedication, and, ideally, some political experience.   If you would consider serving as a campaign manager for a candidate in your area, please contact Larry Anderson at ccs-A@mnip.org.

Website and Information Techonology Assistance
Modern political activities depend critically on technology, so we are constantly looking for tech-savvy folks willing and able to help us maintain this webpage, keep our office systems working smoothly, and/or develop new media avenues to keep our members aware and informed. If you would be interested in helping out in any regard related to these activities, please contact the party's current Webmaster, Rob Rossi, by calling the party office at (651)487-9700, or better still by email at webmaster-C@mnip.org.

Be an Independence Party Election Judge
If you can spare time during the day on election day, the state and the party would both be delighted to have you serve as an election judge.  Representation amongst the election judge pool from all parties is critical to ensuring a fair election, and as a growing party we don't have a large pool of experienced judges to fall back on.  Please consider it!  More information is available from the state of Minnesota, at
http://www.sos.state.mn.us/docs/mn_needs_you.pdf

For more information on any of the opportunities listed, call the party office at (65)487-9700, or send an email to volunteer-A@mnip.org.org
